HOTEL Booking and Conference Registration Information.

Venice is a city visited by millions of people and May is considered “High Season” period, hence it will be very difficult to find Hotels with available rooms if booking will be done close to the conference date.

Please note that the conference will begin on Sunday (May 20) evening with the registration and the welcome reception. Technical sessions will start on Monday (May 21) morning,

at 9 am, and will finish on Wednesday (May 23), in the late afternoon.

Please consider to leave Venice on Thursday 24!

The Hotel rooms reserved by organizers are not available anymore. Please be sure to find an accomodation before finalizing the registration process.

Students bursaries are planned: by the end of April, when the budget of the conference will be assessed, the organizing committee will explore the possibility of providing boursaries for selected students.

Students are strongly encouraged to share double rooms. A number of double rooms with two separate beds have been reserved for people willing to share the room. If you want to share your room (and relative costs) with another person, please send an e-mail to the organizers, indicating, if known, the name of the other person.

Due to the limited number of single rooms, the organizing committee suggests to book a double room (at the conference site hotel) even if you are alone. Unfortunately the price of the double room, used by a single person, do not change.

IMPORTANT: We have found the availability of a limited number of rooms in a 4* Hotel 10 min walk from the conference site for the period May 20 - May 25). The cost of these rooms in the 4* HOTEL is:

Single: 150 EURO per night
Double: 240 EURO per night

Accompanying persons

Accompanying persons are welcome. The cost for accompanying persons is 150 euro. The cost includes welcome reception, dinners, conference banquet and conference excursion. Lunch tickets will be available at the conference site. Please ask for tickets at registration time.

Cancellation policy:

Until January 26, 2007 registration fee will be completely refunded. However, compulsory hotel deposit and booking fee will not be refunded. After January 26 till April 20, 2007 a refund of 50% of the paid amount will be available. After April 20, 2007 no refunds will be available.
